Everything you need to know before you perform Umrah from India
Apply through a registered agent 4–6 weeks before departure. Required: passport (6+ months), photo, Meningitis ACWY vaccine, mahram documents for women.
Fly into Jeddah (JED) or Madinah (MED). Most Indian packages include airport transfer. Enter ihram at your designated Miqat point.
Circle the Kaaba 7 times anticlockwise from the Black Stone. Make sincere dua throughout. Each circuit is called a shawt.
Walk 7 times between Safa and Marwa, commemorating Hajar (AS). Safa to Marwa is one round, back is two.
Men shave (preferred) or cut equally from all sides. Women cut a fingertip's length. This completes Umrah and ends the state of ihram.
Most packages include Madinah ziyarat — Masjid an-Nabawi, Quba Mosque, Masjid al-Qiblatain and Uhud. Offer salawat at the Rawdah.

Nights in Mina, stoning all three pillars after Dhuhr. Depart on 12th before sunset or stay for 13th.
